Carter Eltzroth is a Navy veteran and entrepreneur. He is committed to partnering with impactful businesses to help them grow and succeed into the next generation.
Carter grew up in Washington, DC, raised in a tightknit family that taught him the importance of hard work, having a strong moral character, and pursuing his passions. That foundation guided Carter through every phase of his life and continues to influence him today.
Prior to starting Pine Harbor, Carter served in the Navy for eight years. He deployed all over the world onboard the USS Sampson and the USS Nimitz.
Now, Carter has a new mission: partner with a great company and help it grow. He's ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work.
It only took him 12 hours!
Carter’s biggest supporters are his family.
Carter met Meghan while surfing at Tourmaline Beach in San Diego, where Carter was stationed and Meghan was starting her career as an occupational therapist. Carter and Meghan have moved a lot, from California, to Washington state, back to California, to Naples, Italy, to Philadelphia, and, finally, to Nashville.
Carter and Meghan are proud parents to two boys and an Australian Shepherd:
Quinn (4) - expert in savannah animals and playgrounds
Walker (2) - chief distraction manager
Finn (8) - professional herder and frisbee catcher
You can find the Eltzroths on a hike or in a nature center, exploring local zoos, playing in the (shallow) end of the pool, or enjoying evening popsicles.
The name 'Pine Harbor' is a reflection of two areas of Carter's life...
Growing up, Carter spent a lot of time in the outdoors, under the pine trees of New England. His first job was leading canoe trips for young men as a camp counselor. He learned a lot about himself and what it means to be responsible for others, overseeing every aspect of multi-day and multi-week excursions across lakes and down rivers.
After college, and after working for a few years, Carter embarked on his next adventure and joined the US Navy. He was commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer and learned to drive warships. Life at sea, and pulling in and out of harbors around the world, was transformational for Carter, exposing him to high levels of responsibility and stress. Carter was fortunate to be surrounded by incredible leaders and mentors, both above and below his rank, who shaped him into a trusted mariner and naval officer.
Carter knows that people and relationships are the most important pieces of any organization. Carter prioritizes the well-being of the team and fosters a collaborative work environment.
Carter's military experience taught him the importance of integrity. Carter operates with transparency, treating business partners and employees with respect.
Carter is committed to making a difference in every endeavor. He focuses on driving positive change within organizations, enriching the lives of colleagues, and uplifting the communities he serves.
